Licence to kill is bad public policy

Granting a licence to kill people is bad public policy.  Politicians have to take responsibility for making life and death decisions about their constituents.  They are our elected representatives.  Their first duty is to protect the lives of the country’s citizens.

Dr Carling-Jenkins - advocate for right to life

Congratulations to our new ambassador for life in the Legislative Council of the Victorian Parliament.  In her maiden speech on 12 February 2015 Dr Rachel Carling-Jenkins MLC said "I refuse to believe that we can determine that one human being has a greater right to live or to be protected simply because they are healthier, more intelligent, richer or better able to survive without the help and support of others.

Termination of 7 month old unborn

Right to Life Australia is appalled at the sanctioning of an abortion by the parents of a 7 month old unborn baby with a minor disability. (Sydney Morning Herald 12/12/14).  The decision was related to a number of "social factors" including guilt, fear and feeling abandoned.    Complicating this, is that Cindy – mum-to-be- was brought up in China- and her view about a baby with a disability would of course have been affected by her experiences there.

Stop "Victorian style" abortion in QLD election 2015

Right to Life Australia warns Queenslanders about the issue of abortion in the lead up to the state election on Sat 31 January 2015.
The practice of abortion is alive and well in Queensland.  Of all ALP women candidates up for election this week, 14 are members of EMILY’s List so they are committed to vote in Parliament for the complete decriminalisation of abortion i.e. abortion at any stage of pregnancy up till birth! (as in Victoria and A.C.T).   Do not vote for the following EMILY's List candidates :

The truth will set you free

It is hard to understand the abuse and anger directed at us because of the leaflet we used in our recent state election campaign in Victoria 2014.  Many would have seen the blue leaflet which depicted a baby born 
prematurely at 25 weeks, six days and the image of the same baby at 10 months beaming with life!  The intention of the photos was to illustrate the inconsistency of the public's attitude to abortion.
